1. Valentine’s Yarn Heart Ornament

by Some the Wiser

7 Valentine's Day Crafts for Kids - Paisley & Sparrow (2)

This yarn heart ornament is one craft that’s perfect for kids of all ages! My 3 year old was able to help mix together the water and corn starch to make the glue and both kids (including my 2 year old) just loved creating their own yarn heart to decorate their rooms with!

It’s also super inexpensive. All you need is yarn and corn starch!

2. Valentine’s Day Butterfly Craft

by Stylish Cravings

I love this adorable little butterfly Valentine craft! This one is a little hard for Penelope (age 2) to do by herself but Roy (age 3) was able to do quite a bit of it and get some practice with gluing.

To make it more preschool friendly, put the butterfly together yourself and let your kid decorate it! They can paint it, add stickers to it or cover it with glitter. The options are endless!

3. Llama Valentine Craft Card

by Simple Everyday Mom

Llamas are some of our kids’ favorite animals, especially with the Llama Llama books! This is another one that was great for Roy to practice his gluing skills on but it was a little too advance for Penelope.

To make this more appropriate for 2 and d 3 year olds, put it together and allow them to decorate it, just like the butterfly above.

4. Easy Chocolate Pops

Want a sweet treat to do with your kiddos? This one is perfect! I love giving my kids their own age appropriate jobs when cooking so you can determine with your kids what job they get (and what you will do).

These are perfect to drop off at a neighbor’s house, leave for the mailman or enjoy yourself!

5. Pasta Heart Craft

by cutefetti

I love fun activities that can be done with simple household items – like pasta! This craft could be done 2 different ways. One the blog it shares instructions how to color the pasta using red food coloring.

The other way you could do it is by painting it! Our kids love painting things other than paper so you could let them paint the pasta (just know they won’t get both sides painted in one sitting).

6. Bee Mine Craft

by It’s a Mother Thing

This little bee is such a cute craft for kids! They can make this to hand out to their friends or their teacher. This is another good Valentine’s kids craft for an older toddler to practice both cutting and gluing.

Younger toddlers would be better off just decorating the finished product. Depending on the ages of your kids, you can let an older kid make multiple and let the younger kids decorate them!

7. Bird Seed Hearts

by Thrifty Jinxy

My kids actually made bird feeders just like this with my parents over Christmas break! It’s a fun (but a little messy) craft to do with your kids!

We put it right outside our window so we could watch for birds to come by!

So there you go! 7 fun Valentine’s Day crafts for kids. Which one will you do with your kids?
